3DEXPERIENCE Launcher license renewal

Potential 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher License Renewal Required

A little-known fact is that the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher service on your client uses a license. This license comes packaged into the Launcher install and is given an expiry date way out into the future so that – hopefully – it will never become an issue.

However, if you have not upgraded to the latest versions or fix packs of the 3DEXPERIENCE software and your Launcher version is 19.45.2834 or lower you may encounter a problem where this embedded license expires and the Launcher will no longer work.

You can find your current version of the Launcher by clicking the Show hidden icons arrow (on windows taskbar) ⇒ Right-click on the 3DEXPERIENCE Launcher icon  ⇒ About.

If you have upgraded to the latest fix packs for your given environment (2017x onwards) then your 3DEXPERIENCE launcher license will be automatically updated.

If you have not upgraded and are not able to upgrade your 3DEXPERIENCE platform before the license expires on 19th April 2020 then you will need to upgrade just the Launcher on each of your Windows clients.

Once you have the code you will need to run the ‘3DEXPERIENCELauncher.msi’ on each client that you want to upgrade.
