Predicting Flowrate with scFLOW

CFD demonstration

A common use of Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) is in the design of fans and pumps.  This short video demonstration shows how simple it is to set up a centrifugal fan model in scFLOW

In this example we are looking to predict the flowrate throughput for a given fan speed, which is easily done by following steps in the wizard driven interface.

scFLOW is available within MSC Software’s MSC One token licensing system. This allows users of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Motion simulation tools access to CFD for occasional use, without paying separately for ownership or annual leasing.

As well as being powerful it is very accessible to the non-expert user. You are led through the steps to set up a model by the structure of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) – meaning simple problems can be solved simply.
