A New Year Begins ...

All the team at Desktop Engineering would like to wish all our customers and suppliers best wishes and good fortune for the new year of 2021.

We’ve entered it again with similar lockdown constraints we all worked through 9 months ago. Looking back at that time there was considerable doubt and uncertainty over the outcome.

However, our team, along with support from our loyal customers, have worked through the challenges and arrived in this New Year with a remodelled way of working to meet these renewed constraints. 

We start the New Year with 2 new team members and a major new product in our portfolio – SOLIDWORKS.

We were invited by Dassault Systemes to support their SOLIDWORKS channel in marketing the SOLIDWORKS integration into the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. It was clear this would give us more breadth in meeting our customers needs and in our first few months of working in this channel we have won new customers such as Everatti Cars and complimented sales into our existing CATIA accounts. 

Our training business is currently all live online, led in a similar classroom manner by our skilled and certified trainers. The use of GoToTraining web conferencing platform proves to meet these needs. We expect in-person training to start much later in the year – possibly September. We take a cautious approach to relaxing social distancing. 

Our expectation is many of our customers will have staff working from home for some months as we will.

However, business will continue and our team will make every effort to meet and exceed our customers’ needs.
