Desktop Engineering’s team fully certified!

Desktop Engineering has always placed great importance on the technical team continuing their personal education and training in the software applications we supply and support. 

No more so than across the broad capabilities that Dassault Systemes develops for design and manufacturing industries. With a foundation on the core CATIA design application, the company has continued to ensure that the team become fully conversant and skilled with all new releases and developments that come year after year from Dassault Systemes.

To support and qualify that training has been understood, Dassault Systemes has certification tests.  These are multiple choice questions, together with some practical work, all which are taken as a formal exam and address many of the key feature and functions of the software. The pass level requires 70% of questions to be answered correctly.

In the last 12 months, all the support team have re-certified themselves, for not only the latest CATIA V5 releases, but also the new CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE (V6). Further, new implementation and configuration exams for installing 3DEXPERIENCE were taken and passed. New industry specific tests, for example automotive suppliers, have also been developed by Dassault which tests both technical and business development individuals in commercial and technical knowledge needed for these industries. In all, more than 15 certifications have been achieved across the team, covering areas ranging from advanced surface design through to composite design and manufacture.

The benefit of this knowledge is that our team, who not only deliver telephone support and consulting, can train customers to this level of skill. Further, Desktop Engineering is the first Dassault Certification Centre in the UK, hence endorsing what we preach - that skills should be well taught, tested and certified.
